Change of song

Myself and Keeley have decided to go in a different direction with our music video, after discovering that we aren't happy with our current song and the way in which our video flows. We feel that both our song and our video are too slow-paced to really engage the viewer, therefore, we have decided to film a new video to the song "homemade dynamite" - also by Lorde. This song is much more exciting and has a fast-paced beat throughout which will really lend to our idea of making a fast-paced, exciting music video with lots of quick and snappy shots.


We decided to choose another song by Lorde for our new music video as we both admire her as an artist and have already carried out our research on Lorde as an artist and her image. Our knowledge on Lorde's musical style will help us to create a video in keeping with her artistic and creative tone.

The narrative for our new music video homemade dynamite centres around three different character types, all played by the same girl - a popular girl, a goth and a geek.

The message that we are trying to convey within this narrative is that we all have aspects of different personalities within ourselves - we aim to show this by selecting the same girl to play all three character types.

We are excited to begin filming with new ideas in mind and are hopeful that our new song choice will allow us to create an exciting and engaging music video.
