How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

To answer this question, I have chosen to create a Prezi, I feel that this programme will allow me to provide an effective response as I have used it before and know that it will lend itself to the amount of detail I need to provide. Prezi allows you to add photos and text whilst creating an aesthetic presentation, therefore I'll be able to include lots of detail whilst presenting my work in an appealing way.

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

In order to effectively answer this question, I must reflect back on previous research I have carried out regarding conventions of real media products, such as applying Andrew Goodwin's music video theory to existing media products.

I plan to answer this question using emaze as I feel this will allow me to present my answer in a creative and aesthetically pleasing way whilst including lots of detailed information. Lots of detail and analysing will need to be included in this question, therefore a site like emaze that allows you to add large sections of text and pictures to help explain your point is a perfect site to use.

Final ancillary products: magazine cover and digipak

Final feedback: ancillary products.

Regarding our digipak, our peers informed us that they liked the front cover of our digipak as it effectively conveys our chosen theme of split personalities: we were happy to learn that our message could easily be seen within our digipak as it meant that we have effectively reflected the theme within our music video across our digiapk also.

In terms of criticism, our peers confirmed what we already knew: that we need to add spines to our digipak. This will be the final embellishment to add to our product.

In terms of our magazine cover, our peers told us that the only thing we needed to improve on was embellishments, such as the use of social media sites and a QR code within our magazine advert. We are looking to add these embellishments soon, meaning that our products will then be complete.

We are extremely happy with our products overall and are happy that our peers have rated them highly too, this gives us confidence that our audience will be able to connect to and understand the links between our products too.
